New for the 2008 season, the Hummer II has been every bit as successful as the Hummer Classic. It's a little bigger and even softer off the face but not over heavy like many large mallets. The ball just glides off the aluminium face and stability is now aided by the addition of Tungsten peripheral face weighting. While available, the early Hummer II's are part of a numbered edition of 500.
Like the Classic, this putter combines a milled aluminium body with a 303 stainless steel top piece. The stainless steel portion of the putter is positioned towards the top of the putter creating a higher centre of gravity, and thus, creating a wonderful roll on the ball. Aluminium is a very soft material, so the feel of this putter is soft yet responsive. |
