Jules ETBW - Golf Punk July 2007
I've loved every Whitlam putter I've tried, but never been able to use one full time. As good as they are, I haven't found one that fits my stroke. (Do they do ones that small? - Feat. Ed) This face balanced Whitlam Jules might just do the job. The extra tungsten weighting combines with the Aluinser insert to make this a really forgiving head in a small package.
Tour Wedge - Golf Punk Dec 2007
These prototypes are so hot and new that we have no idea when you might be able to get hold of them. Forged from soft carbon steel, the face is milled on a CNC machine for maximum spin, and then gun blued to the rich dark finish.
Golf Tips Magazine Putter Buyers Guide 2007
No, the Hummer II isn’t a smaller version of the gas-guzzling tank made famous by Arnold Schwarzenegger. It’s David Whitlam’s new mallet putter, and we promise it gets better mileage than its counterpart.
Features: An all-aluminum body anodized to give the club a deep black finish. It also has a weight chip on top to elevate the putter’s center of gravity, and heel and toe weights reduce twisting on off-center hits.
Advantages: With excellent weighting and an alignment aid that makes lining up putts a breeze, the Hummer II is easily adaptable to different green speeds.
What We Like: Its fine construction, excellent weighting and easy alignment lines.
Code M - Golf Punk Dec 2006
We first came across Dave Whitlam's designs a couple of years ago, in a wondrous golf shed full of toys for the golfing geek. We couldn't believe how good this brand was and that we had never heard of it, and that so few Tour players were using the putters. 100 per cent milled from a solid billet of 303 stainless steel, the Whitlam putters feel as soft as butter off the face with ultra-precise feedback on every putt. With the faces milled so perfectly flat, the ball rolls beautifully time after time. Whitlam are starting to generate wider distribution in the UK, so you'll see more of these putters in people's bags, and not hidden away in golf sheds. |
