Why Choose a Whitlam? |
|
The most important club in your bag?
Games of golf
are won on the putting green and no amount of distance with your
driver is going to change that.
When we talk to golfers about
the putters they use a few have stuck with one great putter for the
larger part of their career. The same can rarely be said about the
rest of the bag which is usually bristling with new woods. These
golfers are the lucky ones. Those less fortunate go from putter to
putter looking for something that will sort out their
woes.
It is true to say that golfers expect to pay half as
much for the putter as they do for the driver. This is a mystery to
most pros as the logic would say the opposite but it remains a fact
and so manufacturers are forced to make their putters cheaply. The
irony gets more perverse as it costs more to make a well balanced
putter than a driver!
We are well aware that the Whitlam
putters are not the cheapest you can find. In terms of their build
quality against anything on the market they are second to none. They
are made to give a lifetimes service and so represent fabulous
value.
Every Whitlam putter that leaves California has been
personally inspected by David Whitlam. Having designed it and
perfected it, he knows better than anyone if it is fit to bear the
name. What you get with a Whitlam putter is a superbly designed and
crafted instrument that is not going to let you down. When you look
down at a crucial putt, the integrity of the putter is wholly
apparent and the confidence that gives is priceless.
Making
putters as we do it is impossible to make them in thousands. Some of
our putters exist in runs of less than fifty. Most of them in a very
few hundred. Our putters are as individual as you are and we are
constantly developing the range through refinement. It is rare to
see two of the same Whitlam putters on the same golf course at any
one time. We are happy about that fact!
We hope you buy a
Whitlam putter because you love the way it looks, love the way it
feels and most of all love the way it plays. But whatever the
reason, you will be joining a growing number of golfers who have
found that nothing else comes close.
